Hi everyone,
I’m launching In Her Name: Exposing the Cost of Control, a new space where I explore the human cost of political control through storytelling, investigative commentary, and political analysis.
As a physician, writer, and advocate, my work has long focused on reproductive justice and maternal health equity. But I also recognize that these issues don’t exist in isolation—they’re deeply tied to broader political movements, power struggles, and systemic injustices.
That’s why I created In Her Name: to tell the stories of people whose lives are shaped—and too often constrained—by political decisions. Through series like The Cost of Control, I use true crime-style storytelling and fact-based analysis to expose the real-world consequences of restrictive laws. I also share my own commentary on the shifting political landscape and what it means for all of us.
This publication runs alongside my other Substack, Women’s Health: Empowered Care, Informed Choices, which provides clinical insights and evidence-based guidance on obstetrical and gynecological care. If you’re already subscribed there, you’ll receive a complimentary subscription here, though you can opt out anytime.
We’re committed to keeping most of this content free, but producing it takes time and resources. If you find value in this work, I’d love your support—whether that’s through upgrading to a paid subscription, sharing with others, or simply engaging in the conversation.
Thank you for being here. Let’s expose the cost of control—together.
