Welcome to In Her Name. I’m Dr. Yamicia Connor—a physician, writer, and advocate dedicated to amplifying the stories of women impacted by restrictive reproductive policies. In Her Name runs alongside my other Substack, Women's Health: Empowered Care, Informed Choices, which focuses on providing evidence-based guidance on obstetrical and gynecological care, with an emphasis on clinical recommendations, reproductive justice, and improving maternal outcomes in the United States. Both platforms are part of my broader work as the founder and CEO of Diosa Ara, a women’s health company dedicated to advancing maternal health equity and reproductive justice. Together, these spaces aim to educate, provoke thought, and inspire action—because understanding both the medical and political sides of reproductive healthcare is essential to driving change.
